Termite Inspection

Wood-destroying organism inspection. Often required by VA and FHA loans. Available as add-on or standalone.

Termite Inspections Along the Wasatch Front

A termite inspection — more accurately a wood-destroying organism (WDO) inspection — looks for active or past damage from termites, carpenter ants, wood-boring beetles, and similar pests in accessible portions of the home. Findings are documented on the standardized NPMA-33 form, which is the form most lenders require.

VA and FHA loans frequently require a WDO inspection as part of closing. Even when not required, it's smart insurance for older Utah homes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything Northern Utah homebuyers want to know about termite inspection.

Yes — though pressure is lower than in humid southern states. Subterranean termites are documented in every county we serve, with activity highest in older homes with wood-to-soil contact, unvented crawlspaces, or persistent foundation moisture. Activity is most common in spring.
