Methamphetamine Testing
Surface contamination test for properties with possible drug-manufacturing history. Required by some Utah jurisdictions.
Methamphetamine Surface Testing in Utah
Methamphetamine surface testing detects residue left behind when meth has been manufactured or smoked inside a property. Manufacturing leaves significantly higher contamination than smoking, but even smoking residue settles into walls, carpets, and HVAC systems over time and can pose health risks to subsequent occupants.
The test uses calibrated swabs collected from multiple locations, sent to an accredited lab for analysis. Utah is one of a handful of states with formal clean-up standards for meth-contaminated properties (Utah Administrative Code R392-600).
