Asbestos Testing
Lab-analyzed sampling of suspect materials in older homes. Common in pre-1985 Utah homes — popcorn ceilings, vinyl flooring, pipe insulation.
Asbestos Sampling for Older Utah Homes
Asbestos was used widely in U.S. residential construction from roughly 1930 to 1985 in materials like popcorn ceiling texture, vinyl floor tile and sheet flooring, pipe insulation, duct wrap, attic insulation (vermiculite), siding, and certain plaster mixes. When asbestos-containing materials are intact and undisturbed, they're not generally a health risk. When they're disturbed during renovation, demolition, or normal wear, fibers can become airborne — and inhaled asbestos fibers cause serious long-term health problems.
An OnSite asbestos test takes a small physical sample of the suspect material and sends it to an accredited laboratory for polarized light microscopy analysis.

What's Included
Every OnSite asbestos test follows proper containment protocols and uses an accredited lab for analysis.
Sample Collection With Containment
Physical sample collected with proper containment to prevent fiber release during sampling.
Polarized Light Microscopy Analysis
Submitted to an accredited asbestos lab for PLM analysis — the standard method for identifying asbestos.
